DB is a military brat who as a little boy always pretended he was someone else. Acting came somewhat naturally to him because basically, he just never stopped pretending. Starting late in High School, he found that acting was his dream and from there he went to find a place to play. He started at Ft Sam Houston Playhouse and Harlequin Dinner Theatre, moved on to Melodrama Theatre downtown where he got his first taste of Improvisation. From that point until now, DB has worked in most of the theatres around town with almost sixty shows to his credit. He has appeared in local and regional commercials, and has even been on national television (okay so it was only the Wheel of Fortune, but he won). The 'deebster' is happily married to a wonderful woman. They are blessed with one child, three cats, a dog, and a lot of good friends. He is a big sports fan whether playing or watching (it makes no difference) especially golf, basketball, football, and fly-fishing. By day, he is a supervisor for a major airline. By night, he is one of the founding members of the Oxymorons. Either way you look at him you'll probably need both eyes, 'cause he's big. |

Hilary has been staging improvisational comedy since 1991. She received her BA in theater arts from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio (now known as University of the Incarnate Word). Those of us who have the privilege of knowing Hilary can say, without reservation, to those of you who don't, that she is one classy broad. Miss Keahey attributes her grace, fine manners, dancing abilities, and poise to the rigors of eighth grade cotillion. Hil has performed with numerous other comedy troupes, including Brave New Workshop, Die Wurst Players, Comedy Sportz, Off Center, Left Field Players, Esthers Follies, and Disney Cruise Lines. She was honored for her sharp wit in 1992 with the Irene Ryan Region Finals award. Always generous in allowing others the opportunity to bask in her fabulous presence, Hilary has had over 10 employers in the past six years and has appeared on a commercial for Natural Bridge Caverns. Dame Keahey has instructed workshops in the improvisational comedic arts for as many as 40 people at a time, and she would love to help you tame your saucy tongue if you so desire. |

Chuy Zarate is a loser who doesn't have a bio (his words!). If you really want to get to know him, meet him for a drink sometime. And, oh, he ABANDONED us and moved to Austin recently. He comes back once in a while to slum it with the Oxys. |

Chuck Robinson is a post-Renaissance, local working-class hero--or at least that's what this bio says. In addition to performing with the Oxymorons, he currently teaches comedy defensive driving at Funny Bone, organizes for media justice with the Texas Media Empowerment Project, and announces as 'Rock Chac' for the Alamo City Rollergirls. Aside from freelance writing for the Lone Star Iconoclast and San Antonio Current, locally he's hosted/emceed the Underground Comedy Railroad and numerous benefit shows...and even improvised live on KENS-5's Great Day SA. Improv comedy is in Chuck's soul. Born literally off-Broadway, he grew up going to his dad's late night Comedy Sportz shows and clowning for his brother, cousins and classmates. Tap-dancing by age three, the only boy in 8th grade choir, and acting in musicals with--or directed by--his mom, who teaches performing arts...the stage has been his crucible. After burning out in high school drama, Chuck moved to San Antonio in 1998 and found his way to the Oxys by 2001. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Psychology from The University of the Incarnate Word. He's also a gluten-free Vegan who enjoys backpacking, documentaries, blogging and dissent. |

Amy began performing short-form improvisation in 1989 while she was attending Texas A&M University. Amy was a founding member and director of A&M's improv troupe, Freudian Slip (originally known as "A&M's Evening at the Improv"). She started as an Oxy's seasonal intern in 1992, When she graduated in 1994, she became a full member, performing with the Oxy's until she moved to California in 1999. After spending several years working odd jobs in the entertainment industry, Amy learned a trade that actually paid the bills -- website design. She met and married her husband while living in California, and they have two beautiful children together. She moved back to San Antonio in 2007, where she reconnected with her old Oxymoron buddies. She is once again a regular performer with Oxy's. By day she's a mild mannered web design professional - so don't tell anyone about her night life! Amy holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in theater, and promises never to go back to college to learn that she didn't need a degree in the first place. |

Julie "...got interested in theater in middle school. I'm not sure if the actual interest happened when I was in elementary school as I did enjoy my part in the Christmas play. I was the one with the upside down wings! I really coveted the part of the Valentine Queen in second grade, but I lost to Marie Kanes. You see, she sold more candy than I did, and that is how you got the part. Of course it was really her Dad who sold the candy so he should have been the Valentine Queen. Come to think of it he was a bit effeminate. In high school and college I was in several plays and speech contests. Then I got a job and suddenly didn't have any free time so I took a hiatus. I worked my way up the job ladder to buyer and manager, started doing local theater and became one of the founding members of the OXY-morons, twelve years ago. I have also made training videos and some commercials. I am married. I won my husband in a game of cards. We have two very active little boys, a senile dog, a gerbil, and three fish. My oldest son, Dallas, was scrooge in "A Christmas Carol" this year and he didn't have to sell any candy to get the part! I am a stay at home Mom now, keeping the kids from killing each other and the dog from eating the gerbil." |
